Testimonials
I know there is so much controversy between chiropractic and medical care, but if it were not for chiropractic I would still be in pain. A car accident left me with constant lower back pain. I tried everything from painkillers to preparing to have surgery. I heard stories from my friends who had surgery and to this day wish they never had it. So I decided to go to a chiropractor before the surgery and I am so thankful that I did. My back pains are gone and I am living my life to the fullest and pain free.

A native Nebraskan, Dr. Ryan L. Villwok went into the chiropractic health care field because of his desire to provide the most advanced natural health care services.  After comparing all areas of health care including Medical School and Physical Therapy, he chose to enter the chiropractic field because he felt that it is the profession that had the best doctor-patient relationship. In August 2010 Dr. Villwok began his final internship at Nelson Chiropractic Clinic in Omaha with Dr. Craig B. Nelson.  Upon completion of the internship he joined the staff of Nelson Chiropractic as a full time clinician. Dr. Nelson has been a mentor to him, showing how to deliver effective patient care while keeping the patients needs first and foremost.  He looks forward to continuing to provide services to existing patients and growing the practice as Dr. Nelson retires from active practice.  Dr. Villwok lives in Omaha, NE with his wife Nicolette and their two pets Indy and Wally. He enjoys being active and spending time outdoors with friends and family.

Education
Dr. Villwok attended Wayne State College for his undergraduate education where he graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science.  Following graduation, he then completed his doctoral studies in Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University and graduated in 2010.  During his multiple internships in both Minneapolis, MN and Omaha, NE Dr. Villwok gained an interest in the benefits of combining traditional chiropractic care with advanced soft tissue treatments.

Specialty Education

Soon after graduating Dr. Villwok began taking post-doctorate and continuing education courses that emphasized efficacious treatment of chronic soft tissue injuries that have been previously non responsive to traditional chiropractic and physical therapy approaches.  Graston Technique® is an Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization system, a system that incorporates patented instruments to effectively diagnose and treat areas of the body exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis and chronic inflammation.  Dr. Villwok is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  Certification through the NSCA gives Dr. Villwok a wealth of knowledge in exercise prescription which he is able to pass on to his patients.  In addition, he has taken post-doctorate continuing education course in rehabilitation which he incorporates with at home exercises to involve his patients in their own treatment.
